Kris Crosby begins his seventh year at SIUE. He served the lastsix on Lennox Forrester's men's basketball staff. Crosby wasinvolved in all facets of the program, including game preparation,recruiting and travel planning. Crosby works primarily with theCougars' post players. He originally joined the staff as a graduateassistant before the 2007 season, after playing two seasons at SIUEunder Head Coach Marty Simmons.

Crosby will take on new duties in the athletics department as adirector of operations for several SIUE sports.

He earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications in August2006, and a master's degree in education of kinesiology from SIUEin 2009. Crosby and his wife, Andrea, have two sons KristopherJamir (7) and Aiden Mark (newborn). The family resides inEdwardsville. Andrea was a four-year letter winner for the women'sbasketball program at SIUE.

As a player at SIUE, Crosby averaged 2.7 points per game in twoseasons. Playing in 49 games for men's basketball, Crosby saved thebest for last with a 15-point effort in his senior day game againstBellarmine to end the 2004-05 season. Crosby shot 52.9 percent fromthe field and proved equally as strong on both ends of the floorwith 38 offensive rebounds and 44 defensive rebounds overall.Crosby came to SIUE from Southwestern Illinois College and is agraduate of Belleville East High School. He was an honorablemention All-State selection his senior year for theLancers.
