SIUE

Yemi Makanjuola joined the men’s basketball staff for the 2016-17 season after spending his final year as a player in a Cougar uniform.

Makanjuola will assist in all facets of the program, including practice and game-planning, film and travel.

The native of Lagos, Nigeria, led the 2015-16 Cougars in rebounding at 5.5 per game. Three times during the season he pulled in at least 10 rebounds in a game. He started all 28 games for SIUE and averaged 6.5 points per game.

He received a bachelor’s degree from UNC Wilmington in 2015. He is pursuing his master’s in Kinesiology from SIUE.
