2024-25: Played in five tournaments, covering 14 rounds during the season…Tied for 56th at SIUE’s Dolenc Invitational, his best finish of the season...Also recorded his best 54-hole total at 222 at the Dolenc Invitational, where his low round of 73 came in the final round…Finished with a scoring average of 76.57 for the season.
2023-24: Played in four tournaments covering 12 rounds…Best finish came at Lindenwood where he was 38th of 85 golfers…Best 54-hole total of 220 came at SIUE’s Dolenc Invitational…Low round of 69 game in the third round of the Dolenc Invitational…Finished with a scoring average of 74.67.
Prior to SIUE: Four-year varsity player at Althoff Catholic, where he earned All-Conference honors three consecutive years and was a two-year captain...Bruening earned an All-State finish at the 2A Illinois State Finals in Bloomington, Illinois, as a senior...Honored at the end of his season as the 2022 METCA 2A Player of the Year following nine tournament wins and a scoring average of 71...Carded a school-record 62 at the O'Fallon Panther Classic.
