HALL OF FAME

A first team All-American as a back in 1981, Tom Groark powered a defense which advanced to the NCAA Championships and finished with a 13-4-1 record. Groark started all 18 games that season and completed the year with two goals and four assists. Anchoring the defense, he helped SIUE men's soccer post a season goals against average of 1.06 with seven shutouts. A freshman during SIUE’s national championship team in 1979, Groark would go on to play 78 career games and score six goals while adding 10 assists as a Cougar.
