Amanda Pratzel joined the SIUE men's and women's tennis in thefall of 2010.

Pratzel, who played Division I tennis at Missouri and Oklahoma,works as the assistant coach for both the women's and men's tennisprograms under head coach Jason Coomer.

A native of Chesterfield, Mo., Pratzel most recently was agraduate assistant at Ball State University. She worked with gameoperations and academic advising for one year and two seasons withthe women's tennis program. She also has served as a volunteerassistant coach at Missouri as well as a tennis instructor at theMissouri Athletic Club in charge of the summer junior tennisprograms.

As a player at Missouri, Pratzel finished the spring season in2006 with a 15-6 singles mark. She continued to make an impact insingles and doubles her senior season, winning the Minnesota GopherInvitational with teammate Erika Josbena. The duo also knocked offthe No. 50-ranked team from Iowa 8-2 in that tournament. She alsowas selected to the 2007 Academic All-Big 12 first team.

She posted a singles record of 19-6 in two seasons at Oklahomaas a freshman and sophomore. She went undefeated in the Polo TennisNational Collegiate Preview in 2003 and 2005.

Pratzel earned a bachelor's degree in nutrition and fitness fromMissouri in 2007.
