Donovan McMahill

Donovan McMahill, a two-time national champion, became anassistant coach for the SIUE wrestling program in 2011 after ahighly-successful collegiate career.

McMahill was the 2011 NCAA Division II National TournamentOutstanding Wrestler and Wrestler of the Year for Western State(Colo.) College. He went undefeated at the 197-pound weight classhis senior season and completed his career with a 51-match winningstreak.

A three-time All-American, McMahill earned numerous awards atWestern State including Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Wrestlerof the Year in 2009. He also was the Freshman Wrestler of the Yearin the RMAC in 2008. He completed his career with a record of137-20 that included wins over several NCAA Division Icompetitors.

McMahill graduated from Western State in 2011 with a bachelor'sin psychology as well as exercise and sports science. He iscurrently pursuing a master's degree from SIUE.
