Lester begins his first season on Head Coach Spates’ staffin 2014-15, after finishing up his collegiate wrestling career withthe Cougars last season. Lester will serve as a graduate assistantcoach and will continue his pursuit of a graduate degree atSIUE.

Lester spent his final year of eligibility with the Cougarsafter spending four years (three seasons) at the University ofOklahoma. Wrestling in the 165-weight class, he nearly qualifiedfor the NCAA Division I Championships after posting a 12-6 recordin his lone year with SIUE.

Lester, a native of Wildwood, Mo., was a three-time NCAAqualifier and two-time runner-up at the Big 12 Championship atOklahoma. He compiled a 53-33 record as a Sooner.
