Alex Noble

Alex Noble joined the SIUE men's basketball staff as Director of Performance in 2026, returning to the university where he earned both of his degrees.

Noble comes to Edwardsville from the University of Arkansas, where he served as a strength and conditioning assistant for three seasons. He worked with men's and women's basketball and men’s and women’s tennis.  He also led the men's basketball developmental group of redshirts, freshmen, and return-to-play athletes.  At Arkansas he helped the Razorbacks reach two Sweet Sixteen appearances and coached four NBA Draft Picks.  He also served as a seasonal Head of Performance for John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

Before Arkansas, Noble was Director of Sports Performance at Epic Sports Performance in Edwardsville, where he trained youth athletes of the metro-east area and local AAU basketball program MidPro South. 

Noble holds a bachelor's degree in exercise science and a master's in exercise physiology from SIUE. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms).

Alex and his wife, Maddy, live in the area with their two dogs MJ and Scottie.
