Steinmeyer started at SIUE Athletics in January 2015.

Previous to SIUE, she spent 20 years as the athletic director of a local grade school, spending 16 of those years as a volleyball coach. Steinmeyer is also a former IHSA volleyball official.

Steinmeyer gradauted from SIUE with a degree in elementary education. She is married to Bryan, and together they have two children: Shelby and Brendan.
