         RyAnn Spann tossed her second no-hitter of the week, helping Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to a sweep Thursday at the Rebel Spring Games in Orlando, Fla.
         Spann, a sophomore from Bethalto, fanned 10 batters en route the nightcap victory for SIUE. The Cougars defeated Southwest State 12-0 in the second game of the game after handing Tiffin a 6-0 defeat earlier in the day.
         Spann, who became the fourth player in school history to throw two no-hitters in a season, previously threw a no-hitter on Tuesday against Molloy. Sandy Montgomery (1984), Ramona Nunez (1995) and Deanna Smith (1995) previously had multiple no-hitters.
         Mandy Uhrhan, a senior from Dupo, and Cindy Kolda, a senior from Troy, both homered in the seventh inning against Southwest State. The Cougars collected 14 against Southwest State (4-4) to improve to 9-5 overall.
         Dawn Farmer, a junior from Columbia, tossed a three-hit shutout against Tiffin (3-5), striking our five. Koree Claxton and Erin Newman led the offense with two hits apiece.
