Cougars Fall to Central Missouri

         Elyse Mohma's 23 kills led the visiting Central Missouri State Jennie's to a four-game victory over SIUE Tuesday night in non-conference women's volleyball action. Game scores were 30-28, 30-28, 24-30 and 30-20.
         SIUE falls to 22-6 on the season. Central Missouri, the 22nd-ranked team in Division II, improves to 22-9 on the year.
         Mohma and Central's Carrie Potthast combined for 42 of Central's 65 kills. Katie Tarka anchored the Jennie's defense with 22 digs.
         SIUE out-hit Central Missouri in the first three games but hit only .078 in game four. The Cougars were led by Andrea Voss' 17 kills. Sophomore setter Krystal Majernik registered a career-high 21 digs to go along with 50 assists.
         Allison Buss posted 10 kills and 18 digs on the night. Kindra Westendorf and Heather Bonde posted 14 and 13 kills, respectively.
         SIUE will get back into conference play this weekend when it travels to Lewis and Wisconsin-Parkside for two Great Lakes Valley Conference match ups.
