Cougars Win Record 15th Straight Match

         EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. -- The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville volleyball team won for the 15th consecutive time defeating Saint Joseph's 30-21, 30-12, 30-26 on Saturday afternoon.
         The Cougars improve to 24-5 overall and finish the Great Lakes Valley Conference regular season with a 14-2 mark.
         The Cougars will be the No. 2 seed for next weekend's GLVC Tournament hosted by Rockhurst in Kansas City, Mo. SIUE's first-round opponent is Drury, which is the No. 7 seed. SIUE split with Drury during the regular season.
         Heather Bonde led the Cougars with 11 kills and a .733 hitting percentage. Jamie Jones had eight kills, and Emily Rahn added five.
         The Cougars hit .316 in the first game, but then followed that up with a .481 percentage in game two.
         SIUE notched 45 kills to the Pumas' 27 in the match. The Cougars held a .270 hitting percentage while holding Saint Josephs' to just .070.
         Krystal Majernik recorded 29 assists in two games for SIUE.
         Breanne Evans had eight kills and Ashley Adams added 13 digs for the Pumas.
