Southern Illinois University Edwardsville softball team scored a total of 23 runs on 22 hits on Sunday as the Cougars picked up two victories winning the Cougar Tournament.
         SIUE blanked Illinois-Springfield 9-0 in the first contest before outlasting McKendree 14-13 in eight innings. The Cougars improve to 4-4 on the season.
         Samantha Easterley went 3 for 6 with four runs scored and 3 RBIs in the two games. Holly Neuerburg was 2 for 4 at the plate with four RBIs and three runs scored.
         Libby Lenart went 3 for 4 with three RBI's in the win over McKendree.
         Alicia DeShasier picked up both wins on the mound working five innings while striking out seven for the shutout of the Prarie Stars. DeShasier came in relief to get the second victory pitching two plus innings giving up one run on two hits. She also went 5 for 8 at the plate with four runs scored for both contests.
         The Cougars will be back in action next Sunday as they travel to Orlando, Fla. to face California (Pa.) at 12:30 p.m.
