Cougars Keep Rolling

         EDWARDSVILLE - No. 5-ranked Southern Illinois University Edwardsville softball recorded its second double-digit winning streak of the season with a Monday non-conference sweep over Lincoln.
         The Cougars, 39-5, posted a 25-game winning streak earlier this season and now holds an 11-game winning streak after wins of 3-0 and 8-0 in five innings.
         Sabra McCune and Kaitlin Colosimo posted back-to-back one-hitters. Casey Wantland pitched the final inning in game two. McCune improved her season record to 21-4 while Colosimo now stands at 13-0.
         SIUE's offense didn't get started until the sixth inning of game one. SIUE scored three runs on RBIs from Holly Neuerburg and Libby Lenart. Neuerburg later scored on an infield error.
         The Cougars were swifter at the plate in game two. Alicia DeShasier collected three hits while Neuerburg, Ashley Price, Kaeleigh Rousey and Mallory Ruggles finished with two each.
