        KENOSHA, Wis. - Kyle Jones extended his streak of innings without giving up a run to 41 on Saturday in a 1-0 victory over UW-Parkside.
        It was the fourth consecutive 1-0 victory for Jones, who improved his season record to 6-0. Jones needed help from Adam Schneider in the eighth inning to close out the victory.
        SIUE ran its record to 18-9-1 and 12-8-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 5-4, nine-inning win in the nightcap. UW-Parkside fell to 8-17 overall.
        Jeff Darnall drove home Ryan Czyz on a sacrifice fly in game one. SIUE managed just five hits off UW-Parkside in game one while Jones and Schneider combined on a three-hit shutout.
        Czyz also scored the game winner in the ninth inning of game two. Jake Smith singled Czyz home after the Cougar leadoff hitter originally reached on a one-out error by Mike Umscheid.
        Both teams are scheduled to play another doubleheader Sunday at UW-Parkside.
