         Kim Potthast recorded a match-high 13 kills as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville collected its seventh straight victory with a 30-14, 30-21, 30-27 win over Southern Indiana.
         SIUE, ranked No. 20 in the nation in the CSTV/AVCA NCAA Division II coaches poll, extended its record to 13-2 overall and 6-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Cougars entertain Missouri-St. Louis Friday at 7 p.m. and Quincy at 1 p.m. Saturday. Both matches are at the Vadalabene Center.
         The Cougars had little problems in game one, rolling over the Screaming Eagles behind a .500 hitting percentage.
         Southern Indiana, 8-5 overall and 2-3 in the GLVC, made it much closer in games two and three but couldn't overcome its 21 attack errors and 11 service errors.
         Molly Rahman led the Eagles with nine kills.
         SIUE's offense was fairly balanced after Potthast, who improved her overall hitting percentage to an impressive .361 for a right-side hitter. Mallory Clements added nine kills and 27 assists. Kelsey Hubert, Emily Rahn and Kate Hofeldt each had seven kills.
