EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Bellarmine scored in the 10th minute Friday as it defeated Southern Illinois University Edwardsville 1-0 in women's college soccer action.
         Lindsay Sheer pushed the ball into the goal off a corner kick from MacKenzie Prather at 9:16. Bellarmine improved to 4-1 and 3-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. SIUE fell to 3-2 and 1-1 in the GLVC.
         The Cougars dominated in the shots department 19-6, including 9-1 in the second half. Kristine Armstrong led the charge with five shots for the Cougars.
         SIUE returns to action Sunday at Korte Stadium. The Cougars face defending GLVC champion Northern Kentucky. Kick off is set for noon.
