Cougars Open GLVC Season With Win

         The Southern Illnois University Edwardsville Cougars women's volleyball team improved its record to 8-2 Friday night over Drury University.
         The scores were 31-29, 22-30, 30-22 and 30-20. After winning a close first game and losing the second, the Cougars dominated the rest of the match.
         The Cougars were lead by Kim Potthast's 15 kills during the four games.
         Joining Potthast's offensive attack were Kelsey Hubert and Emily Rahn recording 12 kills each.
         The Cougars' strong offensive showing was matched on the defensive side with a team total of 10 blocks.
         SIUE's next match will be Saturday at 3 p.m. against Rockhurst.
