Rahn, Cougars Outhit Bellarmine

         EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. -- Emily Rahn led all Cougars with 16 kills Friday as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville defeated Bellarmine 30-24, 33-31, 27-30, 30-23 in college volleyball action.
         Rahn hit a team best .350 for the match followed by a 14-kill effort from fellow outside hitter Kate Hofeldt.
         The Cougars improved to 17-5 overall and 10-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Bellarmine dropped to 8-13 and 4-8 in the GLVC.
         Chelsea Bibelhauser collected 18 kills on a match-high 63 attacks for Bellarmine. Emily Beckman and Katie Willinger joined Bibelhauser in double figures with 16 and 13 kills, respectively.
         Samantha Schulte was the only other Cougar in double figures with 11 kills. The SIUE middle hitter also posted a game-high eight blocks.
         SIUE plays the final game of a four-game homestand Saturday. Match time is 3 p.m. against Kentucky Wesleyan.
