Kulovitz, Cougars Blank UM-Rolla

        ROLLA, MO. -- James Kulovitz drove home both of Southern Illinois University's runs Saturday as the Cougars blanked Missouri-Rolla 2-0.
        Adam Tallman and Adam Schneider combined on the shutout for the Cougars. Tallman evened his record at 1-1 while Schneider earned his second save.
        SIUE improved to 8-4 overall and 4-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. UM-Rolla fell to 8-8 and 1-5 in the GLVC. Saturday's action was scheduled to be a doubleheader but became a single game when a bout of snow hit Rolla. The Cougars and the Miners will play a GLVC doubleheader at noon Sunday.
        In Saturday's game, Kulovitz singled home Ryan Czyz in the first inning as the Cougars opened up a 1-0 lead. SIUE didn't score again until the ninth when Kulovitz doubled home Ben Bartley, who reached on a bunt single.
