Cougars Ousted From GLVC Tournament

        SAUGET, ILL. - Justin Skinner's two-out two-run RBI in the bottom of the ninth lifted Drury to a 5-4 victory over Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, ousting the Cougars from the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament.
        SIUE, 37-15, couldn't hold on to a 4-3 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth. Cody Litteken, now 4-1, took the loss, pitching to the final two hitters of the game.
        The Cougars opened the day with a 14-7 victory over Saint Joseph's to eliminate the Pumas from the tournament. With the loss late Saturday night at GCS Ballpark, Drury and Bellarmine will battle for the GLVC title Sunday. Bellarmine will be going for its first since 1989. Drury will be searching for its first in its first season of play in the GLVC.
        SIUE now hopes its has done well enough to garner a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Cougars entered the weekend ranked fourth in the North Central Region.
