Cougars Roll Over Purdue-Calumet

          EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - It was a repeat performance for the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men's basketball team.
          SIUE won by the same score, 88-55, as it did on Monday and improved its season record to 7-13 with a second straight win.
          This time, it was a victory over Purdue-Calumet, 3-16.
          "Putting together back-to-back wins is important for us," said SIUE Coach Lennox Forrester.
          The Cougars were hot from beyond the arc in the first half, hitting 12 three-pointers. SIUE ran up a 60-26 advantage by halftime.
          Brandon Dunson hit a season-high 14 points with a team-leading four three-pointers. Nikola Bundalo added 15 points to key the Cougars' inside game.
          Mark Yelovich, the game's leading scorer, added three three-pointers and scored 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting. In SIUE's seven wins this season, seven different players have been the game's leading scorer.
          "We have been trying to play as many guys as we can," said Forrester.
          Doing so has given the Cougars a strong bench. SIUE outscored Purdue-Calumet off the bench 36-18.
          SIUE held the tempo impressively, giving up the ball just four times in the game. The Cougars also controlled the boards, winning that battle 47-38.
          "We did a good job of getting the ball inside and making shots," added Forrester.
