Illini Take Down Cougars in 10

         CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The University of Illinois scored a come-from-behind, extra-inning victory Wednesday night, defeating Southern Illinois University Edwardsville 7-6 in 10 innnigs at Illinois Field.
         SIUE drops to 5-15 with the loss. Illinois is now 17-5.
         Illinois left fielder Willie Argo tripled with one out in the bottom of the 10th, before second baseman Josh Parr doubled to drive in Argo with the winning run.
         SIUE led most of the night, scoring three times in the top of the first inning. Mike Hurt tripled then scored on a sacrifice fly by Josh Street to make it 1-0 Cougars. Chase Thrasher singled, then Dustin Brooks followed with his second home run of the year to make it 3-0 SIUE.
         The Illini managed an unearned run in the bottom of the first.
         Chilos Norris III homered with one out in the second to make it 4-1 SIUE.
         Illinois pushed across four runs on four hits, off SIUE starter Spencer Patton, in the fifth inning to take their first lead at 5-4.
         Patton allowed five runs, four earned over five innings. He struck out five.
         SIUE answered with a pair of runs in the top of the sixth. Street singled to drive in a pair to make it 6-5 Cougars. Street finished the night 2-3 with the three RBIs. He leads the team with 34 runs batted in.
         The Illini tied it with a run in the seventh off reliever Dustin Quattrochi. Quattrochi suffered the defeat. The left-hander tossed 4.1 innings in relief, allowing two runs on six hits. He struck out five and is now 1-2.
