SIUE Tops Memphis 3-2

         MILLINGTON, TENN. -- Southern Illinois University Edwardsville picked up a rain-shortened win Sunday afternoon, defeating the Memphis Tigers 3-2. The game was called in the middle of the seventh inning due to heavy rain at USA Stadium.
         Spencer Patton earned the win for the baseball Cougars, tossing five innings. He allowed two runs, one earned on six hits. He struck out a career-best 10 Tigers to improve to 3-3 on the year.
         Michael Hopkins finished the day 3-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Brett Keeler drove in a pair of runs in the win. He was 1-3.
         SIUE, 7-21, will host Missouri-St. Louis Tuesday night at SimmonsCooper Complex. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
