URBANA - In the opening meet of the 2010 season, the Southern
Illinois University Edwardsville women's cross country team turned
in a third-place finish at the Illini Challenge.
Junior Aftan
Noon (Forsyth) paced the Cougars with a 10th-place finish. Noon
finished the 4,000 meter course in a time of 15:41.
Making their collegiate debuts for the Cougars were five
freshman, Renee
Goodenough (16:26), Claire Brown (16:29), Emily Conlon
(16:46), Hannah
Lee (17:00), and Megan Petty (17:44).
SIUE finished the event with 84 points while Butler University
claimed the title with 19 points by placing five of the top seven
finishers.
