BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's tennis team was swept 7-0 in its Spring Break finale at Florida Atlantic Wednesday afternoon.

The Cougars got off to a slow start dropping all three doubles positions giving the Owls the first point of the match.

Facing a talented group of Florida Atlantic players, SIUE could not muster a point in singles, as all six matches were finished in straight sets.

SIUE finished its trip to Florida with a 1-2 record and is now 3-6 on the year, while the Owls moved to 3-9 with the win.

Following its week in the sun, the Cougars return to Illinois for a match March 20 at Western Illinois.
