Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – SIUE volleyball dropped its final match of the season Saturday 25-23, 25-16, 25-21 at Belmont.
It was the final match for the collegiate careers of seniors Chelsea Colclasure and Haley Norris. The duo led the SIUE defense with 12 and nine digs, respectively. Colclasure is currently No. 4 in the nation among active players in career digs with 2,355.
The Cougars closed out the regular season with a 14-17 record overall and a 6-10 mark in the Ohio Valley Conference. The 14 victories matched the number of wins from last season.
Sophomore Taylor Held and freshman Ashley Witt led the team in kills against Belmont with six. SIUE finished with 28 kills for the match and a .037 hitting percentage.
Belmont, 17-13 overall and 13-3 in the OVC, picked up nine kills from Bre Lewis. The Bruins totaled 34 kills and a 1.08 hitting percentage.
SIUE recorded 10 blocks for the match, including from Kristen Torre and four from Held.
