Box Score EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE women's tennis won three flights in the Fall Invitational over the weekend.
"We showed a lot of improvement from last weekend to this weekend," said Head Coach Amanda Pratzel.
Sophomore Mia Frogner won flight two and improved her overall singles record to 7-0.
"Mia came out and took her second consecutive flight," said Pratzel. "She showed a lot of heart and didn't give up, which has been a key point this fall."
Also winning flights were Haley Ilcewicz and McKenzie Thomas.
Ilcewicz improves to 3-3 in singles play on the year and Thomas improves to 5-0.
The team returns to play Oct. 16-19 in Stillwater, Oklahoma for the ITA Regional Championships.
"We have a big gap between now and our next tournament, so we're looking forward to working on what we took away from the past two weekends," said Pratzel. "This is our biggest gap in play this fall, so now is the time to take advantage of practice before the next two tournaments."
