EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE women's tennis travels instate for the 2025 ITA Midwest Regional Championships from Oct. 16-21 at Atkins Tennis Center. Six SIUE singles players and four doubles teams will compete.
Stefaniya Anikina earned a spot in the main draw of the Championships. Elena Palioura, Margaux Guibal Britt, Paloma Hennicaux, Jessica Li and Chloe Koons begin play Thursday in the qualifying round.
SIUE's doubles teams, all playing in the main draw, are Anikina/Guibal Britt, Koons/Mya Bowe, Hennicaux/Aliya Rector and Palioura/Li.
The single-elimination tournament serves as a qualifier for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships (Nov. 18-23).
The two singles finalists from each region will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship. Meanwhile, the doubles champion from each region will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
