Box Score TULSA, Okla.— The SIUE volleyball team fell short in the last match of the Tulsa Invitational 3-1 against the host, Tulsa on Saturday. They fell by scores of 25-19, 15-25, 12-25 and 20-25.
Leading the way for the Cougars was Rachel McDonald who ended the afternoon with six kills and 13 digs. Hope Everett also helped the team battle through with six kills and three blocks. Other members who contributed to the teams efforts include Kiana Fields with six blocks, Dylynn Otte with 17 digs and four blocks and Jordyn Klein with 18 digs.
The Cougars had one individual represented on the Tulsa Invitational All-Tournament team, Rachel McDonald. On the weekend, McDonald had 29 kills, 31 digs and three aces to help her achieve this accolade. This is the second time this season McDonald has been recognized on an All-Tournament Team.
The team now moves to 5-4 on the season and will compete in their fourth and last tournament of the season next weekend. The Cougars will open up home play with the Cougar Classic, taking on Central Arkansas on Friday at 6 p.m.
