EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE baseball's scheduled season-opening series at Louisiana-Monroe has been canceled due to poor field conditions at ULM. The series was scheduled to begin today.

The Cougars have added a Tuesday doubleheader with Illinois State, of the Missouri Valley Conference, at Simmons Complex. The two teams will play a pair of seven-inning games with the first pitch of game one coming at 2 p.m.

Tuesday's doubleheader will be the season opener for both teams. The Redbirds had a weekend series at Belmont canceled.
