CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - The SIUE men's and women's cross country teams each finished eighth at the Ohio Valley Conference Cross Country Championships on Monday afternoon. Both races were held at Weakley Park in Clarksville, Tennessee, and hosted by Austin Peay State University.
Eastern Kentucky won the women's race, with three Colonels finishing in the top 10. SIUE's score of 227 was good enough for eighth place, as the Cougars finished ahead of Tennessee Tech, Jacksonville State, Austin Peay, and Tennessee State.
Eastern Illinois won the men's race, with all five runners finishing in 11th place or higher. SIUE finished with a score of 247, ahead of Murray State, Austin Peay, and Tennessee State.
