PEORIA, Ill.- Sophomore Kaitlyn Walker paced the SIUE women's cross country team at the Bradley Pink Classic "Red" race on Friday.
Walker ran the Newman Golf Course loop in 23 minutes and finished 190th overall, good for a new career-best time.
SIUE finished 37th overall as a team with 1087 points. Northwestern took home the team championship with five runners in the top 20.
Sophomores Chessy Nikonowicz (23:26) and Alexis Fischer (23:53) finished 222nd and 256th overall with career-best times. Caroline Gwaltney (24:38/289th), Courtney Anthonies (24:39/290th), Olivia Wolf (25:06/296th), and Ana Keller (26:03/303rd) rounded out the women.
Next up for the Cougars is the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 29 in Cookeville, Tennessee.
