THE COUGARS: Continue their 2022 campaign on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 6:00 p.m. when SIUE travels to Lindenwood for a midweek matchup.

LAST TIME OUT: SIUE dropped a pair of road matches over the weekend at Tennessee State, falling 3-2 and 3-1. On Friday, the Cougars collected a season high 19 total blocks.

Priscilla Jones recorded a career-high nine total blocks on Friday while Syndey Hummert (14 kills, 10 digs) and Caroline Waite (15 assists, 10 digs) collected double-doubles. Ainsley Ranstead also set a new career-high with seven blocks. On Saturday, Hummert's three service aces were good for a career best.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN: After playing its first 14 matches of the season on the road, SIUE is amid a five-game road trip. The Cougars are 0-4 on their midseason road swing so far and are 2-8 this season when playing as the visitors.

SERIES STUFF: The Cougars will face Lindenwood for the second time in program history. The two teams met on Oct. 4 when the Lions swept SIUE in three sets.

SCOUTING THE LIONS: Lindenwood is 7-13 and 4-7 in OVC play after falling to UT Martin over the weekend. The Lions have dropped three of their last four matches and are 2-2 at home this season. 

Madilyn Dement leads Lindenwood with 172 kills this season, while Mackenzi Sifuentes ranks third in the OVC with a .315 hitting percentage. Abby VanBurskirk is the Lions' leading setter with 580 assists. On defense, Jesse Seidel ranks ninth in the conference with 257 digs.

UPCOMING MILESTONES: Sydney Hummert is 12 kills away from notching 500 career kills. Caroline Waite is also 15 assists away from the 2000 mark.

100 KILL CLUB: Five Cougars have recorded over 100 kills on the offensive end this season: Sydney Hummert (233), Savannah Christian (191), Julia Treichel (169), Priscilla Jones (158), and Ainsley Ranstead (145).

INDIVIDUAL CONFERENCE RANKS: Sydney Hummert holds the 10th spot in the OVC with 2.74 kills per set. Caroline Waite's 488 assists rank eighth. Priscilla Jones ranks eighth in the OVC with 79 total blocks. Nicole Kijowski's 4.20 digs and 357 total digs are good for fifth in the conference.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Sydney Hummert earned Offensive Player of the Week   honors in the OVC Sep. 19. after recording double-doubles in three straight matches.

AT THE HELM: Head Coach Kendall Paulus is beginning her sixth season in charge of the Cougars. She owns a career record of 72-81 as head coach.
