LAST TIME OUT: The Cougars went 2-0 last weekend against Morehead State in their first home contests of the season. The Cougars swept both games against the Eagles. Savannah Christian paced SIUE with a .486 attack percentage on 19 total kills (3.17 kills/set).
BACK HOME: The Cougars are playing at home for the third time this season after playing their first 13 games of the season on the road.Since 2016, the Cougars are 40-27 at home.Â
SERIES STUFF: SIUE will face Lindenwood for the first time in program history. 2022 marks the Lions first season in Division I and the OVC.
SCOUTING THE LIONS: Lindenwood is 4-9 overall and 1-3 in conference play on its 2022 campaign. The Lions fell to USI in three sets on Friday before taking victory in five sets on Saturday.
TEAM RANKS: SIUE's .210 hitting percentage is good for first in the OVC while its 12.50 kills/set rank second.
INDIVIDUAL RANKS: Savannah Christian's .293 hitting percentage ranks seventh on the OVC individual leaderboard this season. Caroline Waite's 383 assists rank fifth and her 21 service aces rank fourth. Nicole Kijowski's 253 digs are good for fifth in the conference.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Sydney Hummert earned Offensive Player of the Week honors in the Ohio Valley Conference Sep. 19 after recording double-doubles in each game (18 kills, 10 digs vs. Drake), (13 kills, 10 digs vs. North Dakota), (12 kills, 13 digs at Green Bay).
AT THE HELM: Head Coach Kendall Paulus is beginning her sixth season in charge of the Cougars. She owns a career record of 70-76 as head coach.
