CARBONDALE, Ill. – The second meeting of the season between sister schools will have to wait. After several weather delays, SIUE baseball's game at SIU Carbondale has been canceled Friday night.

The teams played into the fourth inning through a steady rain when the first delay came for inclement weather. Play resumed and got into the top of the fifth before it was halted again. After another lengthy delay, the game was washed out.

The Cougars and Salukis will play a doubleheader Saturday at Carbondale's Itchy Jones Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
