THE COUGARS: Continue their 2022 campaign on September 29th and October 1st hosting Morehead State at First Community Arena. SIUE will play the Eagles on Friday at 6:00 p.m. before closing out the weekend on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT: The Cougars went 1-1 last weekend against Eastern Illinois in their first Ohio Valley Conference contests of the season. The Cougars dropped Friday's contest 1-3 before taking victory on Saturday 3-2.

BACK HOME: The Cougars are playing at home for the first time this season after playing their first 13 games of the season on the road. SIUE finished their road swing 6-7. Since 2016, the Cougars are 38-27 at home. 

SERIES STUFF: SIUE will face Morehead State for the 17th time in program history dating back to 2009. The Cougars own a 6-10 record against the Eagles in the series and are 0-3 in their last three, all of which were at Morehead State. SIUE has taken the last three meetings in Edwardsville.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS: Morehead State is 6-7 on the season and 2-0 in the conference. Last weekend, the Eagles went 2-0 against Lindenwood.

TEAM RANKS: SIUE's .199 hitting percentage is good for second in the conference while its 12.29 kills/set rank third.

INDIVIDUAL RANKS: Savannah Christian's .270 hitting percentage ranks ninth on the OVC individual leaderboard this season. Caroline Waite's 348 assists rank fifth and her 20 service aces rank fourth. Nicole Kijowski's 207 digs rank fifth in the conference and 98th in the nation.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Sydney Hummert earned Offensive Player of the Week honors in the Ohio Valley Conference Sep. 19 after recording double-doubles in each game (18 kills, 10 digs vs. Drake), (13 kills, 10 digs vs. North Dakota), (12 kills, 13 digs at Green Bay).
