EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Neither team found the back of the net Thursday as SIUE and Tennessee Tech battled to a 0-0 tie at Korte Stadium.
SIUEÂ women's soccer is now 4-5-2 overall and 2-1-1 in the Ohio Valley Conference. Tennessee Tech had its winning OVC streak snapped at three game and now holds a 4-4-4 record overall and a 3-0-1 mark in the OVC.
"I thought we played really well," said SIUE Head Coach
Derek Burton. "It was a really good indicator of how good we can play and the quality that we have."
The Cougars outshot the Golden Eagles 12-5. SIUE put six shots on goal against TTU goalkeeper Maggie Conrad. SIUE's
Taylor Spiller recorded four saves for her second shutout of the season.
"They made it really difficult to put the ball in the back of the net even though we created a lot of chances," said Burton.

SIUE next heads to Little Rock for a noon road contest Sunday.
