SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Dominika Baranska (Wayne, Illinois) represented SIUE in the women's hammer throw at the NCAA West First Round on Thursday at Hornet Stadium. The senior finished 43rd overall with a 53.58m heave.
Baranska qualified for the NCAA's following a PR performance at the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field on May 12. Her 58.70m throw to win gold on May 12 leads of the conference this season and ranks second in program history.
The top-12 qualifiers of the east and west regions will compete in the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held June 7-10 in Austin, Texas.
