EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE women's basketball guard Macy Silvey (Glen Carbon, Illinois) has earned Prairie Farms Cougar of the Week honors following her performance vs. Tennessee Tech Saturday at First Community Arena.
Silvey commanded the Cougars' rebounding efforts against the Golden Eagles, collecting a career-high nine. The sophomore also led SIUE with 16 points, marking the 11th occasion she has scored in double- figures this season. She went 6-13 from the field and 4-7 from three-point territory in over 37 minutes of action.
Silvey ranks sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference with a 32.6 three-point percentage, while her 2.0 three-pointers per game are tied for fourth. She is averaging 10.0 points per contest, good for second on SIUE and 22nd in the conference.
The Prairie Farms Cougar of the Week honors an SIUE student-athlete who demonstrated excellence in competition.
