EVANSVILLE, IND. – SIUE junior Damarco Minor (Chicago) has been named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference First Team.

Minor enters the OVC Tournament ninth in the league in scoring at 15.7 points per game, fifth in rebounding (8.4) and the conference leader in free throw percentage at 86.0 percent. In OVC play, he is seventh in scoring at 17.6 points per game

The guard has recorded 10 double-doubles this season, which ranks third in the OVC. In his last four games, he is averaging 23.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.

Minor becomes just the second SIUE player to be selected to the All-OVC First Team, joining Ray'Sean Taylor who earned the honor last year.

The Cougars are the No. 6 seed for the OVC Tournament, and will open play against No. 7 Eastern Illinois Wednesday at 9 p.m.
