ON AWAY AND ONE HOME
The Ohio Valley Conference regular season is down to two weekends. The Cougars travel to Cookeville, Tennessee, for a three-game series at Tennessee Tech. SIUE is home next weekend against Morehead State.
LAST TIME OUT
SIUE played in its final nonconference game of the season, a 4-3 loss at Saint Louis. It was SIUE's 16th one-run game of the season.
SERIES RECORD
The all-time series against Tennessee Tech is deadlocked at 16-16. SIUE is 5-10 all-time at Tennessee Tech and has lost its last four meetings in Cookeville.
AMONG THE LEAGUE LEADERS
Sydney Baalman is third in the OVC in starts with 10. She started and finished three contests last week, including a 16-inning, 2-1 win over Southern Indiana last Saturday. The 16-inning game was the longest in Division I this season.
LONGEST HITTING STREAK
Paige Rocha broke the school record for consecutive games with a hit at 29 games, which also stands as the longest such streak among Division I players this season. The streak ended in game two of a doubleheader against Western Illinois. Rocha broke the previous record of 27 set by Erin Newman in 2001. Rocha has now hit in 32 of her last 33 games.
ROCHA NATIONALLY RANKED
Rocha leads the OVC in a handful of statistical categories and is among the nation's best as well. As of April 24th, she is ranked fourth nationally in doubles (19), fifth in doubles per game (0.42), 13th in hits (66). She is third in the OVC in batting average at .405 and 67th nationally.

LEAGUE RANKINGS
SIUE is second in the OVC in strikeout-to-walk ratio at 2.16. The SIUE offense is sixth in the OVC with a .272 batting average. 
MORE DOUBLES
Jenna Herron has been in the No. 2 spot in the lineup for a good portion of the season. She is fourth in the OVC in doubles (12) and seventh in sacrifice bunts per game (0.20).
YEAR TWO
Lone Tree, Iowa, native Ben Sorden is in his second season as head coach of the Cougars. Sorden came to SIUE after holding positions at Michigan State and Indiana, helping the pitching staffs to national honors and top-notch results.
