Samaya Hogg and
Abby Haskell combined for 11 saves in goal Sunday as SIUE women's soccer played to a scoreless tie at Missouri State.
SIUE moved to 1-0-2 for the season while Missouri State is now 1-1-1. The Cougars are now idle until next Sunday at Purdue Fort Wayne.
Sidney Christopher led the SIUE offense with two of the team's five shots. The Cougars also picked up shots from
Matea Diekema, MarieClaire Imig and
Calli Chiarelli.
Haskell played the first 45 minutes in goal for the Cougars and recorded four saves. Hogg finished with a career-high seven saves over the final 45 minutes. It was the first shutout of the season for SIUE.
Missouri State finished with 25 shots, including six from Maggie O'Keefe.
