EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Southern Indiana scored in the 81st minute Sunday and defeated SIUE women's soccer 1-0 at Strassweg Field.
The Cougars, now 2-10-3 overall and 1-3-2 in the Ohio Valley Conference, finished with six shots overall, including a pair from freshman Claire Nieroda.
Sarah Bozeman collected three saves in goal for the Cougars.
USI's lone goal came at 80:20 on the fourth goal of the season by Emerson Grafton.
SIUE has two home games slated for Korte Stadium next week. The Cougars welcome Southeast Missouri for a 7:30 p.m. clash Thursday followed by a 3 p.m. contest next Sunday against Morehead for Senior Day.
