• This is the 22nd all-time meeting between the Cougars and the Skyhawks. SIUE and UT Martin are tied 10-10-1 in the series. UT Martin won last year's meeting in Edwardsville 2-1. The two teams tied 0-0 two seasons ago in Martin. The last time SIUE defeated UT Martin in Martin was the 2021 OVC Tournament, 1-0 overtime triumph.
• SIUE is tied for sixth place in the OVC standings with a 2-3-3 record (nine points) with UT Martin. SIUE can only be the sixth, seventh or eighth seed for next week's OVC Tournament.

• Sarah Bozeman became the first Cougar this season to win a weekly award. After shutouts over Southeast Missouri and Morehead State, Bozeman was named the OVC Goalkeeper of the Week honoree. Bozeman lowered her OVC goals against average to 0.77 with the two shutouts.
• Savannah DeFini leads the team in scoring with three goals and one assist. DeFini recorded the assist in the win over Southeast Missouri.
• Claire Nieroda scored her second goal in the win over Southeast Missouri. Both of her goals this season have been game-winning goals.
• Nieroda leads the team in shots with 34.
• Anna Zichella leads the Cougars in saves with three.
• This is the 18th season for Head Coach Derek Burton, who took over the SIUE women's soccer program when it jumped to the Division I level before the 2008 season. Burton has led SIUE to five Ohio Valley Conference titles and five NCAA Tournament appearances (2014, 2016, 2020, 2021 and 2022).
