• This is the 20th all-time meeting between the Cougars and the Lions. SIUE holds an 11-6-2 advantage in the series. Lindenwood won last season's meeting 2-0 in St. Charles, Missouri. SIUE last won two seasons ago, a 1-0 win in Edwardsville
• Claire Nieroda, who has and continues to lead the team in shots, recorded her first career goal in the win over Western Illinois. Nieroda scored off a restart just outside the box after a foul.
• Savannah DeFini now leads the team in goals scored with three, capturing her third goal as the team's opening goal in the win over Western Illinois.
• SIUE's 17-9 advantage in shots over Western Illinois was the first time the Cougars have outshot an opponent this season.
• The 17-shot effort also was the second straight game in which the Cougars have posted a season high in shots attempted. SIUE had 16 in the loss at Little Rock.
• SIUE is tied for sixth in the OVC with a 1-2-1 record (four points). The Cougars are tied with UT Martin and Southeast Missouri. Lindenwood is just two points ahead of those three teams with six points (2-2 record).
• Sarah Bozeman recorded her first shutout as a Cougar against Tennessee Tech. She previously had one at Memphis.
• Anna Zichella is tied for second in the OVC in assists with three. She trails only Little Rock's Maria Schuller and Tennessee Tech's Melina Hamm with four.
• This is the 18th season for Head Coach Derek Burton, who took over the SIUE women's soccer program when it jumped to the Division I level before the 2008 season. Burton has led SIUE to five Ohio Valley Conference titles and five NCAA Tournament appearances (2014, 2016, 2020, 2021 and 2022).
