Men's Basketball Announces Addition of Brennan Miller

SIUE men's basketball Head Coach Brian Barone has announced another addition to his 2026-27, announcing the signing of Brennan Miller (Indianapolis, Indiana).

Miller, a 6-foot, 7-inch, 210 pound forward comes to SIUE from Lawrence North high school in Indianapolis.

"We are looking forward to having Brennan on campus next season," Barone said. "He brings a variety of skills to our team on and off the court. He has a tremendous motor with the ability to play multiple positions. Brennan can play both inside and outside on both and will only improve on that as he develops.

Miller averaged 13 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals as a junior on his way to being named an Indiana Junior All-Star. He led Lawrence North to a 22-7 record and the Indiana Class 4A state title.

"I chose SIUE because I love what they stand for. They stand for family, community, and development. From the moment I stepped on campus I felt the love and atmosphere through the coaches, players, and school. SIUE wasn't just a great choice for me but also my family as they made us all feel at home, and they made me feel wanted and that's all you can ask for is to feel wanted. SIUE provided that for me. I'm very grateful for this opportunity to go on this journey to better my future and reach my dreams with cougar nation

"Brennan will fit very well into the culture of our find-a-way-family," Barone added.

Miller is the third addition to 2026-27 recruiting class joining David Wilson and Dorea McCaskill who were announced Thursday.

The Cougars are 2-1 to start the season and will face Drake in a Friday night contest. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
