EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. –Junior Chase Bloomer (Ottawa, Kan.) from the baseball team has received Prairie Farms Cougar of the Week Honors after his performance against Morehead State.  
 
After the sweep against MSU, Bloomer now leads the team with seven home runs. In the second game against the Eagles, Bloomer hit a solo shot in the fifth inning to give SIUE the lead and later added an RBI single. He hit his second home run of the series in the final game against MSU, keeping the Cougars in the game.
 
The Prairie Farms Cougar of the Week Honors an SIUE student-athlete who demonstrated excellence in competition.
