• SIUE is in second place in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Cougars are one game behind Eastern Illinois. SIUE is coming off a series win (two out of three games) road trip at Eastern Illinois.
• One more OVC series remains for the Cougars, a three-game series this weekend at home against UT Martin.

Kaylynn Salyars was named the co-OVC Player of the Week after hitting .600 this past weekend at Eastern Illinois. Salyars recorded the game-winning RBI in both SIUE wins.

Emma Henderson enters the week with 11 home runs this season. It is the second most by a Cougar in the Division I (since 2009) behind
Grace Lueke's 12 in 2022.

Emma Henderson also is chasing the Division I era lead in RBIs. She has 41, and the Division I best is 43 by Alex McDavid (2013). The overall school record is 61 by Erin Newman (2001).

Lauryn Yslava is third in the OVC in doubles and 54th nationally with 14. Salyars is close behind with 13.

Juztyne Torres is ranked 22nd nationally and No. 1 in the OVC in assists per game. She has played both the shortstop and second base position this season.

Avery Arwood is second in the OVC in shutouts with three and first in complete games with 12.
• SIUE leads the OVC in several offensive categories, including home runs (40), home runs per game (0.87), doubles (70), doubles per game (1.52), runs scored (5.59 per game), and runs batted in (216).
Next Up: SIUE closes out the regular season with a home OVC series against UT Martin. A 12 p.m. doubleheader is scheduled for Saturday followed by a single game Sunday starting at noon.
