• SIUE Athletics is hosting a Fall Food Drive in conjunction with this game. All non-perishable food donations given at the game towards SIUE's Cougar Cupboard will receive a ticket voucher that may be used at any other SIUE home event through the end of 2025. Any sport, any date.
• This is the 17th all-time meeting between the Cougars and the Golden Eagles. The series is tied 6-6-4. Both of the last two contests in 2023 and 2024 ended in ties. The last SIUE victory was 1-0 during the 2022 season in Cookeville, Tennessee, during the OVC Tournament. The last Tennessee Tech win was 2-0 during the 2022 regular season in Cookeville.
• SIUE's last and only win at home against Tennessee Tech at Korte Stadium was a 3-1 rout during the 2011 season.
• The OVC season features eight contests. SIUE has home OVC matches against Tennessee Tech (Sep. 25), Western Illinois (Oct. 5), Lindenwood (Oct. 9) and Southeast Missouri (Oct. 16).
• SIUE is ranked third in scoring with nine goals scored. Little Rock leads the OVC with 18 goals. Tennessee Tech is tied for sixth with six goals scored.
• Freshman Claire Nieroda is the team leader in shots for the season with 17. That ranks her ninth in the OVC with 1.70 shots per game.
• Sarah Bozeman set a new career best with 10 saves against Saint Louis. It was the most saves by a Cougar since Juli Rossi recorded 10 at Iowa on Sep. 4, 2016.
• This is the 18th season for Head Coach Derek Burton, who took over the SIUE women's soccer program when it jumped to the Division I level before the 2008 season. Burton has led SIUE to five Ohio Valley Conference titles and five NCAA Tournament appearances (2014, 2016, 2020, 2021 and 2022).
